The Health Inspection

Food Code Compliance

Public health statistics reveal that early detection reduces risk, promotes accountability among staff, decreases cost and increases profits.  AFS Mock inspections are designed to go above and beyond the local health department rules and regulations. The goal is to make sure that food retail operations are inspection ready every day and not just when a routine inspection is at your doorstep.

Mock Inspections are designed for:

  • Food Trucks

  • Restaurants (small to large)

  • Daycares

  • Grocery/Convenience Store

  • Hospitals

  • Hotels

  • Food Festivals

  • Farmers Markets

Performed by former Health Department inspectors and seasoned food service professionals, our mock inspections are a comprehensive, independent review of your food retail operation.

The mock inspections are designed to:

1. Ensure that the establishment is providing safe food to the public.

2. Identify and prevent possible food safety violations and their causes, before the local health department performs a food retail inspection.

3. Stay compliant in regards to local food code regulations.

4. Recognize food safety training needs and gaps.

Mock Inspection Type:

  • Pre-License Inspection (Pre-operation Inspection)

  • Routine Inspection  (Unannounced Inspection)

  • Follow-up Inspection (Failed Inspection)

Note: $99.00 to $399.00, per inspection, depending on size, frequency and detail needed.

Our clients will receive a comprehensive report (verbal or digital) which includes a detailed summary report of the inspection, with identified violations and instructions/recommendations for correcting violations.

When you become proactive, you become an ADVOCATE for change in your operation.
